Creator terms

Anyone 18 or older who posts publicly can apply at okayotto.com/creators. We look at every application and choose who joins; we email you either way. Approved creators use Okay Otto's paid plan free while they are in the program.

You get a link, okayotto.com/r/your-code. When someone opens it, we remember your code in their browser for 60 days; if they create an Okay Otto account in that time, they are credited to you. If they open another creator's link later, the later link counts. Your own account, and accounts you create for yourself, are never credited to you.

You earn 30% of every payment a credited customer makes for their first 12 months, counted from their first payment. It is worked out on what they pay before tax. A refunded or charged-back payment earns nothing; if its commission was already paid to you, we deduct it from your next payout.

Each commission becomes payable 30 days after the payment it came from, so refunds can be settled first. We pay by PayPal once a month when you have at least $25 payable; smaller amounts carry over. Your creator page shows what you have earned, what is payable and what has been paid. You are responsible for any tax on what you earn, and we may ask for a tax form before paying.

Every post that mentions Okay Otto must say it is a paid partnership: use the platform's paid-partnership label where it has one, or put #ad where people see it before “more”. Say only what you have found to be true from using Okay Otto. Don't promise results, invent numbers or quote prices we don't offer.

Spam, fake reviews, coupon or cashback sites, bidding on “Okay Otto” in search ads, paying people to sign up, and anything that breaks a platform's rules. Sign-ups that come from any of these, or that look automated, earn nothing.

You can leave at any time, and we can end your place in the program with notice. Commissions already earned on genuine sign-ups are paid as normal, except where they came from something not allowed above. We will give you 30 days' notice before changing these terms in a way that lowers what you earn.
